DK-10 Surface-to-air Missile at Zhuhai Airshow

A the 2012 Zhuhai Airshow, the DK-10 Surface-to-Air Missile (SAM) was shown for the first time. The DK-10 missile is derived from the SD-10 or PL-12 Air-to-Air missile, similar to Raytheon's RIM-162 Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM). Both were developed from Air-to-Air missiles into Surface-to-Air missiles.

However, ESSM comes with a semi-active radar seeker. The diameter of the DK-10 has been increased from the SD-10 but it inherits the active radar seeker of the SD-10. Maximum range is 50 km and the missile is marketed by Norinco as part of the Sky Dragon Air Defense System as a competitor to the LY-80.
